During dinner, we have special menus. You can choose one from four types of Okonomiyaki and one from three types of Teppan BBQ and cook them by yourself on a hot iron grill at your table. It must be fun ! Of course, our staff will help you cook your Okonomiyaki and Teppan BBQ so you don’t need to worry. It will be a unique and tasty experience. Our goal is to make your evening memorable with these delicious choices.

What makes Hida Beef delicious is the rich fat in the meat. Our “Hida Beef Okonomiyaki” is not just topped with Hida Beef but also cooked using the flavorful fat from Hida Beef, enhancing the overall taste and creating a uniquely rich and satisfying culinary experience.

Pork Okonomiyaki

Pork Okonomiyaki is a classic style of Okonomiyaki. While it’s typically cooked with vegetable oil, at our place, we prepare it with beef fat on the iron grill, making it special for Hida Takayama. Enjoy the blend of classic taste and unique flavors, creating wonderful memories during your time in Takayama.

SEAFOODS OKONOMIYAKI

Seafood Okonomiyaki

This is an Okonomiyaki topped with shrimp and scallops. The scallops are sourced from Hokkaido. It’s a menu option for semi-vegetarians who don’t eat beef or pork※. Typically, we cook it with vegetable oil, but upon request, we can also prepare it with Hida beef fat.

※Since cooking utensils, including the iron griddle, are shared among all dishes, there is a possibility of ingredients not listed in the list being mixed. If you have concerns, you can check the list of ingredients we use in our restaurant at link below. We appreciate your understanding.

This is a Okonomiyaki topped with Hida Takayama shiitake mushrooms, perfect for those who want to try a unique one. we can serve Okonomiyaki without eggs, ginger and green onions, which are typically included※.

※Since cooking utensils, including the iron griddle, are shared among all dishes, there is a possibility of unintentional contamination with allergens or animal-derived ingredients.

For guests with special dietary requirements, such as vegetarians, we are pleased to remove ingredients like meat, eggs, and the five pungent roots from our dishes upon request, as much as possible. However, because cooking utensils, including the iron griddle, are shared among all dishes, there is a possibility of ingredients that you cannot eat being mixed. If you have any special requests regarding ingredients, please let us know when making a reservation for a smoother dining experience. We appreciate your understanding.

2. CHOOSE TEPPAN BBQ

After trying okonomiyaki, it’s time for TEPPAN BBQ. You can choose one from “Hida Beef BBQ”, “Local Style Chicken BBQ” or “Local Tofu BBQ”. The BBQ is cooked in front of you, making it extra tasty and fun.

COMMON FOODS TO ALL SET MENUS

“Local Style Dango”, “Fried Udon Noodle”, “Edamame” and “Matcha Ice Cream” are common items to all set menus.

The food called “Dango” in Japan is normally sweet taste but here in Takayama, “Dango” is traditionally soy sauce taste . You can try cooking Takayama’s Local Dango on our iron grill.

The Fried Udon noodle is one of famous Teppanyaki Dishes. The combo of Okonomiyaki, Teppan BBQ and this Fried Udon Noodle will satisfy you and make you feel full, even if you are so hungry.

EDAMAME, KAKI-PI & MATCHA ICE CREAM

Your Okonomiyaki is cooked on the iron grill on your table after you order, so it takes a bit of time to be ready. Enjoy some edamame (green soybeans) and kaki-pi (mochi chips and peanuts) while you watch your okonomiyaki being cooked. For dessert, we offer a refreshing matcha ice cream.
